At Disneyland

So.

Disneyland.

Peter Parker, sixteen year old kid from Queens and secret superhero, was in Disneyland. Why Disneyland, he had no idea. Disney World would have made much more sense - it was at least on the same side of the country as New York. But no, for some reason his school had decided to send them here on a school trip.

(Where did they even get the money? Did someone die and specify in their will that their money could only be used to send teenagers to theme parks on the other side of the country? Was the school Principal robbing banks? Maybe Peter should check that out, when he gets home. Yeah.)

What was he even going to do in Disneyland anyway? Especially since MJ had come down the the flu and hadn't been able to come. He felt so out of place here, it wasn't funny. He was used to fighting crime on the streets of New York, not...The Happiest Place on Earth.

...Wait, were they selling kid-sized Spider-man costumes here? They were! Great, even Disneyland is making money off of him now. (Was it too much to ask that Peter actually get something out of all this, just for once?)

Okay, to hell with all this. He was in Disneyland. He didn't have any crime to fight. Even supervillains weren't evil enough to attack this place. And there were rides. He was pretty sure none of them could compare to web-slinging, but if he had to be here he then he was going to enjoy it!

Now, if he could just find something that wouldn't make him wait in line for hours...

[[ooc: Feel free to set threads at any place in the park! Or, failing that, you can just have your character talk to Peter while he's glaring at Spider-man merchandise. Whatever works.]]

The joys of CalState had worn off fast for Sugar Motta, and when the opportunity had arisen to apply for a semester at Disneyland, she'd jumped at it. She loved Disneyland and already had an apartment here in California, so this would be awesome!

It hadn't quite occurred to her until she got to the parks that she'd have to work.

They stuck her in merchentainment, and today her rotation had her outside on the cart with the costumes. She hated working in general (tourists! ugh), but she particularly hated working the cart because it was outside, so whenever she worked out here, she spent a lot of her guest-free time glaring at the costumes like it was their fault she was stuck on the cart. (Why was it even called the cart when it was stationary, she always wondered.)

Seeing one of the guests glaring at the costumes was... a change.

"They sell them in your size online," she told the kid acerbically helpfully.
