Lurelin Village
It's not uncommon to see people fishing on the beaches near Lurelin Village. In fact, it's quite common. All along are people with fishing rods, making their living in the waters.
One young man, however, seems to be doing things a little differently.
He's short, with wheat-blonde hair tied in a small pony-tail and a distinctive blue tunic. He stands at the edge of the water, no fishing rod or spear in hand - though he does have a sword and shield on his back - and stares intently at the water. Right where his gaze is settled, there's a small pool of fish gathered.
He nods to himself, and taps at an odd, rectangular-shaped object hanging from his hip. Suddenly, there's a bright, blue ball in his hands. It glows brightly, a makes an odd, soft humm. He chucks in the water.
One more tap at the rectangular object, and then the hum becomes a chime and the chime goes...
BOOM!
Dueling Peaks Stable
Link always liked visiting Dueling Peaks Stable. It had been the first one he'd ever found - he hadn't even known stables existed before then. Or horses, either. He'd first learned about them at Dueling Peaks Stable too, which was another reason he liked it so much.
Another good reason to like the stable: he could usually find Beedle here. Except, as Link looks around the stable, trying to spot man's large beetle-shaped backback, there's no sign on him.
Huh.
Well. Someone around here's gotta want to take the 46 pieces of amber he has stashed away in his slate. Link makes a bee-line for the nearest person.
"I want to sell!"

"Moblin fangs-- how many?!" Kid what the heck. "If I brought those home my sister wouldn't be fang-king me!"

"Do you want 46 amber?"

In another age, and another time, and if anyone was ever able to actually see how much crap Link kept in his Slate...someone might use the term 'hoarder' to describe Link.
"Um," he says then, because he's not used to naming the prices. He gives rocks, he gets a bunch of rubies, the rest he doesn't tend to bother worrying about. "The same as what amber usually sells for?"

He doesn't want to promise he can match it - maybe the kid sells to some fancy connoisseur who offers rupees through the nose for some shiny rocks - but he'd like to know what the heckity is happening.

He might be going for a while here.

"A-ahh, gotcha, gotcha," he says, holding both hands up like it'll stem the flow of unfamiliar names and foreign locations. "But, do they all give you different amounts for the amber, when they buy it from you?"

In other words, Link never actually bothered to run the sums for himself. He just handed over the stuff and took whatever gems were given to him in return.

"I mean, I wouldn't want to rip you off." He steps closer, tilting his head in a look of open confusion. "Maybe we should try and find one of your normal sellers and ask them how much they'd pay you for it?"
