Open Characters With Pokemon Post!
[You can set up a scenario if you wish, but the best way for this to work would probably be if you contact me and we work something out. You can also request which of my characters you'd like to play off of - just be aware that for some of them I might need to say that I'm just not feeling up to playing that particular character]

So he'd left. Though, until now, he'd avoided doing just about anything that remotely resembled Pokemon training or battling. He didn't even know where to begin. So he treated the whole ordeal like an extended camping trip. Unfortunately, the woods near his countryside home and the woods surrounding these strange mountains were quite different. Particularly concerning the wildlife.
He hadn't meant to upset anyone when he'd scrambled into the rocky outcropping, following his nose to a wild berry bush. The first warning he had that he wasn't alone was an earth-shaking roar, and then his Skiddo bounded over the rocks, kicking him out of the range of the extremely irate - and very large - mama Ursaring they'd accidentally stumbled upon.
Rake paled beneath his tan, pressing against the rock as Skiddo bleated futility at the threat.

...and a roar broke the peaceful atmosphere, startling Sandry out of her contemplations. Silk looked up at Sandry and meowed inquisitively. "Someone could be in trouble," she said decisively. "Let's go!"
Pulling up her skirts, she broke into a run, with Silk dashing along beside her. Branches pulled at her hair and stratched her skin as she ran, but she ignored them.
"What's happening?" she said as she came beside a young man, breathing heavily.

Nettle, to her credit, was having some success keeping the other Pokemon busy, but she was only so fast. Eventually one of those heavy swings would connect, and given who her trainer was, she didn't have the experience to withstand it.

"Silk!" she commanded. The Delcatty stood to attention. "Flash, please." Polite as the words were, it was clear that Sandry had no doubt at all that they would be obeyed without hesitation.
And indeed, a moment later a bright, blinding light filled the Ursaring's eyes, and it roared. It turned madly, still trying to attack the Skiddo - but it's attacks were falling wider, it's aim off, giving Nettle more room to move out of the way.

On the other hand, it wasn't a surprise at all that Rake was frozen where he stood, knock-kneed and wide-eyed. Nettle snorted and bounded over, giving her gangly 'trainer' a none too gentle headbutt to push him away from the berry patch.
"Oop! Oh, uh, I think we should run now, miss!" At least now that he'd gotten his legs working, again.

Behind them, the Ursaring roared. But the roars grew fainter as they ran further away, and it seemed that the bear pokemon was more preoccupied with it's flash-sore eyes than chasing after trainers and their pokemon.
"Well then," Sandry said, pulling up in a meadow when they were far enough away to be safe. "I think that counts as our excitement for today, don't you think?"

When they finally stopped, and Rake was bent over and breathing hard, she headbutted him unsympathetically. Then pranced away to the other side of the meadow to munch on grass as he sprawled in the dirt.
"...ow. Please tell me it was my excitement for the month?" He pushed himself up and tried to brush himself off, but he was pretty hopelessly muddy.
For Jack Frost!
Shakkan looked up at Briar with big, hopeful eyes. You wouldn't think a giant turtle with a bonsai tree on its back could pull off a puppy face like that, but that didn't seem to stop Shakkan. "Okay, fine, fine. You can have one. One! No, not the Ganlon! Shakkan, don't...you can have a Leppa, okay? A Leppa."
Twisting the more valuable berries out of the way, Briar quickly gave Shakkan the Leppa before he could decide to try eating that Ganlon anyway, never mind his trainer's protests.
